THE GREEN GRASS 5 STEP PROGRAM
Our 5 step program is more complete than most companies 7 or 8 steps. We do more at each treatment and only use high quality, slow release, granular fertilizer that we have custom blended right here in Grand Rapids for our area's specific needs. This means you get a better lawn with less visits, saving you time and money.
1. SPRING
Your first application consists of slow release fertilizer and crabgrass preventer. The fertilizer is blended with nutrients to help the lawn recover from it's winter dormancy and green up quick. The crabgrass preventer we use is custom blended to meet the high standards our customers expect.
2. EARLY SUMMER
This application controls broadleaf weeds like dandelions, clover, and many others. We spot spray the weeds at this treatment, meaning we do not coat the entire lawn with weed killer, but rather only spray the weeds we see. We also apply a slow release fertilizer to feed the lawn.
3. SUMMER
This middle of the summer application fixes some of the diseases and weed problems that most companies charge extra for. We control Yellow Nutsedge, Crabgrass, Creeping Charlie and many other weeds with this treatment at no extra charge. Slow release fertilizer is also applied.
4. EARLY FALL
Early fall is the best time of the year to get rid of weeds, so we spray the entire lawn at this treatment. A balanced slow release fertilizer is also applied to help the lawn recover from summer stress.
5. FALL
Winterizer fertilizer is applied at this treatment. We spray any weeds we may see at this treatment, but we rarely see them. Our winterizer fertilizer is different from others. It contains more micro-nutrients that will last in the soil for a year or more. This treatment encourages root growth, but it also replenishes nutrients in the soil that will last the entire next year.
